Douglas Hickman is a native of Chicago, IL, and graduate of the International Academy of Design, where he received his B.A. in Fashion Merchandising.

In 2009, Douglas moved to New York City to pursue his career as a fashion stylist. He was quickly embraced by the fashion community following his first published editorial for Vainstyle Magazine. His keen eye for style and creative direction propelled him to pursue wardrobe styling. Douglas was hand selected to style covers and featured editorials in CosmopolitanL'OfficielAthletes QuarterlyPeople, Obvious, and Uptown Magazine. After working with fashion publications, Douglas began working with talented musicians, such as Michelle Williams, Eve, and Jason Derulo , and was contracted to style and creative direct for record companies, such as RCA Inspiration and Light Records.  

 Shortly after relocating to Los Angeles in 2015,  Douglas began to style looks for prominent talents and film directors, such as John Singleton, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Lynn Whitfield, Sherri Shepherd, and Justin Simien, to name a few. Within a short time of branching out to work within the television and film community, Douglas began to style press junkets for shows and movies, such as Greenleaf, Snowfall, and Fences, and has been curated to style looks for nominees at The Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, Video Music Awards, and the BET Awards.

The ultimate goal in life for Douglas is to "help find the versatility through wearable art in people, and to make them laugh while doing so".

Douglas Hickman currently resides and works as a fashion stylist in Los Angeles, CA
